The sailing camp program for 2025 has yet to be scheduled but it is expected to encompass 2, possibly 3, week long sailing camps conducted at the New Roads Waterfront Park on False River. Each camp will be limited to 10 participants.

Instructional Sailboats

Depending on the age and size of a camper, one of two instructional sailboats are used: Optimist Pram and Sunfish. The campers are organized into teams of two and jointly sail the appropriate instructional sailboat.

Restrictions and Benefits

Camps are offered to youths 8-17 years of age.

There is no cost to campers for participation in sailing camps. Campers will be provided a textbook and water bottle at no cost. PFD’s will also be provided for use at no cost if needed.

Each camp is limited to 10 campers: first come-first served.
